Privacy Policy
Effective September 2, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Hospital Asset (“Hospital Asset,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit hospitalasset.com, submit an inquiry, or otherwise communicate with us.
Do not send patient information. Our website and inquiry forms are for business and equipment information only. Do not submit patient names, medical records, device data tied to a patient, or other protected health information (“PHI”). Our website is not intended to receive PHI, and use of the website does not create a business associate relationship.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you contact us or submit an inquiry, we may collect your name, organization, business email address, telephone number, whether you want to buy or sell equipment, equipment model, approximate quantity, condition, location, timing, photographs or documents you choose to provide, and the contents of your message.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and security systems may process basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, timestamps, referring page, and diagnostic or security logs. Protected staff areas may use an essential session cookie for authentication and security. We do not currently use advertising cookies or sell personal information for targeted advertising.
How we use information
- Review and respond to buying, selling, sourcing, and support inquiries.
- Evaluate equipment, quantities, condition, logistics, and potential transactions.
- Communicate with you and maintain business records.
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the website and our services.
- Prevent fraud, misuse, unlawful activity, and security incidents.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
How we disclose information
We may disclose relevant information to vendors that help us operate the website or business; professional advisers; payment, shipping, freight, inspection, refurbishment, or logistics providers involved in a requested transaction; and government authorities when required by law or necessary to protect rights and safety. We may also transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar business transaction. These recipients may use information only for the applicable service or transaction, subject to their own legal obligations and any agreements with us.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Retention
We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including responding to inquiries, maintaining transaction and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary according to the nature of the information and our legal and operational needs.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information, payment-card data, account credentials, or PHI through a general website form or ordinary email.
Your privacy choices and rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you, or ask a question about our privacy practices, by emailing [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law.
Depending on where you live and whether a particular law applies to Hospital Asset, you may have additional rights, including rights to know, access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising; and to appeal a denied request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right. Because we do not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not offer a separate opt-out link for those practices.
Children
Our website and services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for those practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, practices, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date.
